Aquilegia vulgaris

From our back garden; Aquilegia vulgaris, commonly known as columbine. I don't have much to say about this other than it felt good (and challenging) to work with watercolours again. Also, I have an all new respect for botanical artists!

  1. Bingo! You did it again. First my fave cuttlefish; now my favourite wildflower. Columbine are blooming everywhere here, but ours have always been a coral colour (in Canada: B.C. and Ontario). You have a lovely sensitive touch that expresses the delicate nature of this wild thing.
